The kerosene lamp is a mass-produced industrial object that was commonly used for indoor lighting from the 19th century until the first half of the 20th century. It was gradually replaced by electric lighting, but continued to appear in households later on, often out of nostalgia. It also appears in János Bécsi’s painting, created in the 1978 which reflects the stylistic elements of Art Deco.
